nish their degrees.“We chose Mt. Julietbecause of the growth patterncoming east from MetroNashville,” Eaton said. “We will be able to draw studentsfrom Donelson, Hermitage,Old Hickory and Mt. Juliet.”Eaton said that 175 peoplehad already signed up forthe 25 slots and hinted thatmore slots would open upin the future to make roomfor all those with interestin being a nurse. He alsosaid that Cumberland willalso offer Microbiologyas well as Anatomy andPhysiology classes and labsat Environmental ScienceCorporation, located onLebanon Road in Mt. Juliet.“Environmental ScienceCorporation is the largestenvironmental sciencecompany in the countrybased in one location with world-class facilities,” Eatonsaid. “This just goes to show why Cumberland Universityis the best small, private,liberal arts school around.” The idea for a Mt. Julietcampus was started in January 2004. Eaton saidhe would like to have moresatellite campuses in thefuture.

The United Daughters of the Confederacy (UDC) is the outgrowthof many local memorial, monument, and Confederate homeassociations and auxiliaries to camps of United ConfederateVeterans organized after the War Between the States.
