The UK Islamic Mission was established in August 1962, on theinitiative of a small group of Muslims who felt the need for a British-based organisation which would convey the true spirit of Islam to theWestern world.The setting up of the UK Islamic Mission underlines thedetermination to meet this urgent need of the Muslims in the West. Itwas an effort both of moral development and social reorientation inthe light of the Qur'an and Sunnah, the only way to real progress andsalvation. The Mission's aims can be summed up as follows:

The propagation and projection of the true Islamic teachingsimplicitly identifying and exposing concepts and innovatorypractices that are alien to the message of Islam.

To demonstrate to the nation's opinion-formers, academics,industrialists, financiers, etc., that Islam is a timeless andrelevant problem-solving way of life.
•
 
Providing a valued Islamic education to Muslim childrenliving in the UK.In its efforts to provide leadership and guidance, the UK IslamicMission wishes to present an Article, written by the late
Khurram Murad 
(1932-1996) which illustrates quite clearly the huge gulf between terrorism and Islam. The Article definitively puts to rest thefallacious and malicious propaganda, so commonly distributed byvarious institutions and media organisations. long time ago in early seventies had chance to attend the conference organised by "jamiat Ithad ul ulma" at Faisalabad. In that conference there was one speaker from london uk Islamic mission. As far I remember his name was Abdul Rashid Sadiqui or similar. This particular speaker told to that conference that we are doing lots of Islamic work in the uk and after 10 years you will see the map of
