ANNAPOLIS, MD, March 7, 2014
A newly released report shows AT&T* wireless customers in Maryland are enjoying a network experience ranked highest in a tie for combined/overall voice, data, and text performance by an independent mobile research and testing organization. Seattle-based RootMetrics® today released a national wireless network performance study, which awarded AT&T in a tie for first in Maryland for its combination of call, text and data performance. **
“AT&T is tied for the highest rank in our National Study of overall network performance in Maryland. Our
National Study looks at data, call and text performance across all network technologies, including 4G LTE in
Maryland. We look at performance from a consumer’s point of view, and AT&T offered a very strong overall performance for those in Maryland during our tests,” said Bill Moore, president and CEO of RootMetrics.
deployment is ahead of schedule, covering nearly 280 million people. AT&T expects to be substantially complete with its 4G LTE deployment by summer 2014. ***
“We’re proud that AT&T has the nation’s most reliable 4G LTE network **** in Maryland,” said J.
Michael Schweder, president of AT&T Mid-Atlantic.
“Network coverage and quality are the top reasons customers
choose our best-in-class network. We continue to invest and upgrade aggressively. From 2011 through 2013, AT&T invested $600 million in its wireless and wireline networks in Maryland. And we continue to make
investments to deliver a great overall mobile experience for our customers.”
