Rhys Walsh Evaluation Question 4 Who would be the audience for your media product?

Who is the audience? The audience of our film would be males, aged from 15 40. This is because our media product is an Action/Thriller which involves guns and explosions. The reason we have chosen males, is because stereotypically males generally enjoy action films and most women would not enjoy our type of film. For our audience, to enjoy our film they would all like very fast paced music, this could be rock or dub step, just as long it is very fast paced. Their favourite TV programmes would be action programmes, these would shows like NCIS, CSI, Hawaii Five-O, Kill Point, Breaking Bad, etc.. The reason the audience would enjoy these TV programmes would be because they are all action shows and they all involve some type of crime in the story. For example, CSI is normally about murder crimes and The Kill Point is a show based around 4 guys who plan to rob a bank and about when they rob the bank and how they end up doing it. This would help them to enjoy our media product as it is an action film and it links very well to some of the TV programmes the audience would like. The audience may also like other action films, these could be films such as Max Payne, The Town and Point Break. The reason the audience would enjoy our media product if they like these films would be because our film is very similar as these were the main films we researched for our film to try and catch the audiences attention to our film.
