Supporting Stem Cell Research
Under Governor Corzine’s leadership, New Jersey hasbecome a national leader on stem cell research. In 2006,Governor Corzine signed legislation providing researchfunding to facilities in Newark, Camden, Belleville, andAllendale and to create the Stem Cell Institute of New  Jersey, which will work to achieve scientific breakthroughsthat have the potential to improve and save lives.
Cracking Down on Gun Violence
Governor Corzine has made our safety a priority. Herecently signed a law that will crack down on theproliferation of gun violence. He supports a new guncontrol package that would ban .50 caliber guns designedfor military use, increase penalties for gun trafficking, andmandate life in prison for anyone who attempts to assaulta police officer with a firearm.
