Sorry it took so long to reply; I've been in the Yukon for the last couple of months. I really don't know what the author means by a documentary. I can only assume he is out of money again.

A job well done on the dissecting I must say. You are right on target with your conclusion. I have been to this location numerous times with the anticipation of finding something and came out empty handed. What do think the author means by putting on his website that a Wall of Silver Documentary is coming soon?

Anyway, good job

REX,
Thank for the quick response. We are part time treasure hunters. And yes this story peaked our intrest. But as you pointed out there are quite a few"Holes"(no pun intended) in it.We also have some of our own research going on right now.I am still willing to put further time into it(just a little bit more).

Well Thanks for the info and the great research that you have done.

Deposits as described in the mentioned book are not impossible with base metals but highly unlikely with D Block elements such as Ag, Au, Pt, or Pd. Ag is typically found as a co-product of another mining operation. Thanks for taking the time to read my paper, type-Os and all.

Rex , Great article(you have way too much time on your hands). Weather or not the story is true, is a deposit that size possible? 90 feet long?? Wether it be silver, copper or gold.

Thanks for your time(the artical was good reading)

Thanks Jake Stockard, that was cute. Instead of me reading the fiction book again maybe you should read my non-fiction paper again. I am a big fan of precious metals and mining and I would love for someone to prove me wrong but there is no substance in this book.

I think you should read the book again with the idea in mind that Kellogg is the last person to know where this mine is, should it exist. The book is described as a "Treasure Hunter's Dream" this leads me to believe that Kellogg wants the mine to be found, but not immediatly. If he simply said where it is, then everyone would go there and it would be exploited and destroyed, probably not what he wants.

Therefore I read the book yesterday for maybe the 5th time, with this idea in mind, that everything is wrong in the book purposefully. Not only the story is embellished for his personal glory or characters names changes to protect the innocent(whomever is left?), but he gives contradicting information on the location of the mine and how it was found, for what I believe is to preserve the "Treasure Hunt". Kellogg intended to send people on a wild goose chase, purposefully putting misleading information and contradicting information in the book.
