Pecan Mixture
6 tbsp unsalted butter, melted1 cup packed brown sugar1/2 tsp salt3 large eggs3/4 cup dark corn syrup1 tbsp vanilla extract1 tbsp bourbon (optional)2 cups pecans, toasted and chopped1.Heat oven to 350°, sprinkle white sugar over the crust and bake for 5 minutes. Boil sweetpotato until tender, peel and mash.2.Lightly beat eggs and mix in melted butter then corn syrup, sugar, vanilla and optional bourbon. Mix until smooth. Then add the 2 cups of toasted and chopped pecans and mix.3.Mix mashed sweet potatoes with the orange juice, cloves, nutmeg and all spice.4. Add sweet potato and pecan mixtures and pour into crust.5.Bake at 350° for 45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out mostly clean.6.
Let cool completely and serve with bourbon (or vanilla) favored whipped cream.
*1 pinch = 1/4 tsp

1/3 cup whole pecans, toasted1/2 of a medium sweet potato1/2 cup orange juice1 pinch* each of nutmeg, groundcloves, and all spice
Secret Wilson Family Crust
1 (9 inch) store bought crust2 tsp white sugar, for sprinkling
