There are many tests that can be conducted to diagnose or testfertility for females. A few common infertility tests include:Hormone Blood Tests - These tests measure the levels of certain hormones that aidin the process of getting pregnant such as progesterone, luteinizing hormone (LH),follicle stimulating hormone (FSH), and Prolactin among a few others. This is usuallythe first step that is taken to diagnose infertility or check for imbalances that couldattribute infertility.Hysterosalpingogram (HSG) - This test basically checks to see if your fallopian tubesare open. A fluid is injected through the uterine cavity and into the fallopian tubes,as the fluid travels it is displayed on an x-ray screen to make sure it has passedthrough freely. This test can identify blocked fallopian tubes and it can also helpclear them out if they may be slightly blocked.Laparoscopy - A small incision is made under the navel and gas is inserted to helpcreate a space for the laparoscope. During this test, a doctor can inspect the uterinecavity for things such as endometriosis, blockages, and/or irregularities. Thisprocedure is usually done on an outpatient basis so that means you are usually inand out of the hospital the same day.
