Dear Forestry Friends, The St. Joseph County Soil and Water Conservation District is excited to begin the 24th Annual Tree Sale Program. The money from previous sales has allowed our district toprovide an important service to the community and improve the quality of our environ-ment here in St. Joseph County. Please take some time to read carefully through the Species Information Sheet, so thatyou are well aware of the characteristics of the species you may be interested in purchas-ing. Some species are very particular about soil type, sunlight, pH, and drainage. We want the trees that you plant to have the best chance for success, so that you can enjoy them for years to come. The
order deadline is March 1, 2010
, but we encourage you to return your order (withpayment) as soon as possible. The SWCD is also sponsoring a
Tree Selection & Plantingseminar on February 2, 2010
, at 6:30 p.m. in the Farm Bureau Building Meeting Room. Please call or email the SWCD office to reserve your spot at this seminar. Thank you!
