Published by Polimore
MTBF Reliability Failure Rate definitions and prediction methods currently used in the industry. It defines different methods and looks for correlations between these methods in order to make it easier to compare reliability statements from different manufacturers that may use different prediction methods and databases for failure rates for electronic, mechanic, organic, chemical, solid and liquid. Additional hybrid MTBF calculations.

MTBF CALCULATOR
Project:
MTBF Calculator (Software Tool of Reliability Prediction)
Project Manager:
Ferdi Tekin, Computer Engineer, 2003 B.Sc, 2008 M.Sc.
Purpose:
MTBF Calculation System
Document Version:
P.2.011
Document Date:

Revision Date:

Description:
Mean time between failures (MTBF) is the mean(average) time between failures of a system, the reciprocal of the failure rate inthe special case when the failure rate is constant. Calculations of MTBF assumethat a system is "renewed", i.e. fixed, after each failure, and then returned toservice immediately after failure. A related term, mean distance betweenfailures, with a similar and more intuitive sense, is widely used in transportindustries such as railways and trucking. The average time between failing andbeing returned to service is termed mean down time (MDT).
With Sampling:
Bio Organic Mechanic Electronic Robot (BOMER_V01)
