 will consider articles and letters for publication. Books authored by musmakhim that are reviewed by musmakhim will be considered for publication as well. Obituaries about and authored by musmakhim will be considered for publication.

 aims to maintain the Hebrew pronunciation style of the author of the article. Transliterations follow the author’s preference i.e. academic, Ashkenazic, modern Hebrew or the like. While we will remain consistent within articles, each author will be afforded to transliterate within his comfort level.

Remembering Rabbi Dovid Lifschitz zt’l
On Sunday, June 16, 2013, RIES and RIES Rabbinic Alumni hosed almos 300 people o commemorae he 20h

Joel delivered greeings, and Rabbi Zevulun Charlop (‘54R), dean emerius o RIES, Rabbi Yizchok Cohen (‘65R), Rabbi Benjamin Yudin (‘69R) and Rabbi Moshe Weinberger (‘83R) recouned heir ond memories and experiences boh during heir days as

Rabbi Blech Honored at 80th Birthday Celebration
Rabbi Benjamin Blech, associae proessor o almud a Yeshiva Universiy, was honored a a celebraion o his 80h birhday on Ocober 30. Te even commemoraed Rabbi Blech’s 47 years o eaching a he Yeshiva and included remarks by Presiden Richard M. Joel, Rabbi Dr. Jacob J. Schacer and Dr. Jonahan Kuszniz in addiion o Rabbi Blech. A he ceremony, Rabbi Blech was also presened wih an award in recogniion o his years o service by Acing Dean o RIES, Rabbi Menachem Penner.“Rabbi Blech has he capaciy in his wriing and eaching o speak wih such clariy and insigh ha people o differen backgrounds can ake proound lessons rom him a heir own level,” said Presiden Joel. “On behal o all o us a YU, hank  you or your enlighenmen o he world.
