Masjid al-Furqaan
is an Islamic Center Based in North Minneapolis. Itis a community of brothers and sisters who have come together toestablish an Islamic Community deeply rooted in the
Qur
ʾān
and the
Sunnah
. The
Masjid
's origins can be traced back to the
Bil
ā
l
LearningCenter, which was established to provide Islamic education whilecultivating the development of the community with specific emphasisplaced on the youth.The
Bil
ā
l
Learning Center was located in the small mini mall on thecorner of Lake St. and Cedar Avenue. It functioned as a place where
Qur
ʾān
ic
lessons were administered for the children of thecommunity. Weekly lessons were also taught for the youth andadults who wished to further increase themselves in Islamicknowledge.Many of the classes taught at the center focused upon strengtheningthe basic foundations of the religion through the study of the subjectsof
