The process of aging is a process of gradual disappearance of the network's ability to repair itself and maintain the structure and function normally, so that will progressively lose body resistance against infections and metabolic and structural distortion, known as degenerative diseases including diabetes. DM is one of ulcer complications pedis. Elderly diabetic ulcers facilitate pedis. The purpose of this research to know the difference cellular immune response type 2 DM patients with ulcer pedis between geriatric and non-geriatric patients. Subject & Methods: The study was conducted in wards Medicine from January 2009-December 2009. Subjects were patients with type 2 diabetes with complications of ulcer pedis both geriatric and non-geriatrics, obtained by randomization of each group of 10 subjects. Type of cross sectional research. The immune system views of leukocyte counts. Data were analyzed by unpaired t test. Result: The results showed leukocyte counts vs non geriatrics geriatrics group each basophils (0.35 0.25 vs. 0.39 0.12), neutrophil (75.06 14.59 vs. 69.76 7.37 ), lymphocytes (17.69 13.13 vs 21.0 7.14), and monocytes (4.99 1.15 vs. 5.63 1.08) showed no significant difference. Conversely eosinophil count geriatric group was significantly lower than non-geriatric (1.25 1.01 vs. 2.46 0.41, p = 0.002). Conclusion: Differences significant cellular immune response type 2 DM patients with diabetic ulcers among patients with geriatric and non geritatri seen in eosinophil count.
