COMPENDIUM OF RTF LAWS
REPUBLIC ACT NO. 7900 AN ACT TO PROMOTE THE PRODUCTION,PROCESSING, MARKETING AND DISTRIBUTION OF HIGH-VALUED CROPS,PROVIDING FUNDS THEREFOR, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
Section 1.
Title. —
 This Act shall be known as the “High-Value Crops Development Act of 1995.”
Section 2.
 
Declaration of Policy. —
It is hereby declared the policy of the State to accelerate the growth and development of agriculture in general, enhance productivity and incomes of farmers and the rural population, improve investment climate,
competencies and efciency of agribusiness
and develop high-value crops as export crops
that will signicantly augment the foreign
exchange earnings of the country, through an allout promotion of the production, processing, marketing, and distribution of high-value crops in suitable areas of the country. The State shall be guided by the principles that land has a social function and land ownership has a social responsibility. As such, owners and lessees of agricultural land, being stewards, have the obligation to cultivate the lands they own or lease and make the land economically productive on a sustainable and
