Description
In this paper, a general overview of the air cargo segment in Brazil will be presented, with
emphasis on the international market. By identifying the country’s major international
partners of foreign commerce, the paper will identify some of the challenges and
opportunities nested within the activity, primarily regarding Brazilian carriers. For this, the authors will highlight the main characteristics of the air cargo segment, its relationship regarding international trade, its influence over the economy, and vice-versa. Please notice this paper was published in 2003 at the 7th Air Transport Research Society World Conference.
