Applied Language Solutions provide SpanishCoaching to school children

Applied Language Solutions is proud to be providing Spanish Language coaching lessons to thechildren of a local school; Meltham Moor Primary School.The Government recently implemented their National Curriculum initiative to increase languageteaching to children in primary schools, and as a language solutions company, AppliedLanguage agree that language skills are becoming more and more vital for children to developas early as possible.Paul Wheeldon, Chief Operations Officer, enthused: “The Spanish classes we are helping toprovide will assist the children as they continue to develop and move forward in their lives andeducation. We strongly believe that language education is important, and feel that by providingprimary school children with access to language learning, we can help to diversify their language skills and make learning fun as they practise communicating in a new language.”“This school was chosen to provide local children with the best start possible in their languageeducation. This is our way of giving something beneficial to the community which not onlysupports what we do as a company, but just as importantly, supports the Government in their efforts to introduce language education into the National Curriculum as early as possible.”Applied Language is funding a one hour language coaching session, including providing fun yeteducational teaching materials, once a week to children aged 7-8 at Meltham Moor. Thesessions are began in January and are led by Joe Oya, a native Spanish speaker whooriginates from Madrid.Mr Mike Whitfield, the Headteacher of Meltham Moor, said: “This is an exciting opportunity for some of our younger children to begin learning a language. All our Key Stage 2 children nowstudy French and the Spanish coaching sessions will complement this. We are very grateful toApplied Language Solutions for their support.”
