Thanks for your suggestions. We will look intothese. Please obtain a replacement PC User 2009magazine DVD as per the advice I received fromthe library about maintaining copies not beingcost effective rather obtaining replacements onan as need basis. We don’t generally replace Magazine backissues as they are not often available. If you likewe can try to obtain a copy from another library – this will incur a small fee. If you are interestedin pursuing this option please chat to one of ourlibrarians. Many thanks to the magazine organizer and theacquisitions officer for making the Linux journalavailable. This operating system, although notcommonly used is growing in popularity and themagazine is appreciated. Thanks. We’re very pleased to be able to offer a broadcoverage of computer systems. Thanks forsharing your feedback with us!In the computer section, there are many“Dummies” series books, and tutorial – stylebook. It would be nice to see some moreprofessional –style books and books aimed atuni students. Books from Addison Wesleypublish high quality I.T. titles that are aimed foruse by IT professionals and students. Also, many university text books that are prescribedare by AW.Thanks for your feedback. As a public library wegenerally don’t purchase textbooks - our focus ismainly on books that can be used by the generalpublic rather than those aimed at an academicaudience. If a book has been stolen lost etc what is thepoint of having it on the catalogue you might aswell remove it from the catalogue or replace it noone cares if it is lost or stolen if they can’t get itout. We keep this information on our catalogue sothat we can follow up with the responsibleperson. We will investigate the possibility ofremoving these from public view so that otherpatrons are not also frustrated. Thanks for yourfeedback.Dear Librarian, As a library user I have noticedthat you have many duplicate CDs. I have ininterest in all types of music and thought youmight give some consideration to having say thetop 100 CDs in each genre, classical, Blues,Jazz, World etc. you could use a reference bookfor each. I have included one for the classicsection.Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness inproviding a list of popular classical recordings. We aim to provide a representative sample of alltypes of music and will check that these areasare covered in the collection. Is there any provision to make suggestions orgive feedback online? You can make suggestions or give feedback vialibraryenquiries@frankston.vic.gov.au
