Although your thesis or dissertation may be prepared on a computer, consider the following requirements for meeting the standards.
Paper
Use only one side of high-quality, plain white (unlined in any way) bond paper, minimum 20-lb weight, and -!"2# $ !!# in si%e. &rasable paper should not be used.
Pagination
)umber all of the pages of your document, including not only the principal te$t, but also all plates, tables, diagrams, maps, and so on. *oman numerals are used on the preliminary pages (pages up to the first page of te$t) and Arabic numerals are used on the te$t pages. (he numbers themsel/es can be placed anywhere on the page, howe/er they should be consistent.
Spacing
Use double spacing e$cept for long quotations, footnotes, and endnotes, which are singlespaced.
Margins
(o allow for binding, the left-hand margin must be !.0#. 1ther margins should be !.0#. 2iagrams, photographs, or facsimiles in any form should be a standard page si%e, or if larger, folded so that a free left-hand margin of !.0# remains and the folded sheet is not larger than the standard page.
Photographs
-rofessional quality blac.-and-white photographs are necessary for clear reproduction. 3olors are allowed, but you should be certain the colored figure will copy clearly and will not be confusing when printed in blac. and white.
File Format
(hesis or 2issertations format should be in .2oc (4s 5ord 2ocument) or -26 (portable 2ocument format), 7mage files in 8-9 or (766 format and Audio :isual in A:7 (Audio /ideo interlea/e), 976, 4-&9 (mo/ing picture e$pert) files format.
Labeling on CD CD-ROM Labeling Should be standard and should contain title, subtitle, name of the candidate, degree name, subject name, guide name, name of the department, college, place and year
