I walked out of the hospital with Heejin who had just gotten her cast on her arm from the previous night. After walking her home, I made my way over towards my home.“ Hello?” I called into the house. Taking my shoes off, I heard the housekeeper’s voice inthe kitchen.“ Minkyong? Come on in, we’re eating breakfast.”I walked into the kitchen where my mom and the housekeeper were in.“ Hi.” I sat down in front of my mom.“ Was it uncomfortable in the hospital?” She passed me some food to put on my plate.“ Not so much. It was okay.” I replied receiving food.“ Honey, I’m going out to the company in about five minutes after breakfast because of aearly meeting, so just help yourself around the house. Or you could’ve just hung out withHeejin for the rest of the day if you wanted to. I just don’t want you to be lonely. Thehousekeeper is leaving with me too, I’m dropping her off.” My mom said, finishing upher breakfast.I nodded, showing that I understood. “ I think I’ll just go over to Heejin’s.” I replied.“ Okay then. Make sure you lock the door.”“ Okay.”My mom stood up from the table and went to get her bags. I ate my breakfast as Iwatched the housekeeper gather her belongings.“ I’ll be going then. You can leave the dishes in the sink honey, the second housekeeper will arrive shortly.” She said, smiling over at me.“ I don’t mind doing the dishes.” I replied, carrying over my plate.“ No no. It’s fine, I’m sure the housekeeper will take care of it.” She protested, taking my plates and placing them in the sink.“ Okay then. Have a nice day off then.” I replied with a smile.“ Thank you, same to you.” She waved quickly and ran out of the door behind my mom.I watched the two leave through the living room window. After seeing them off, I wentup to my room to go change. Dialing Heejin’s number, I stopped halfway.

‘ Maybe I should ask Changmin if he wanted to meet me today…we weren’t able to talk last night…’
Looking through my phonebook, I called Changmin instead.“ Hello?” Changmin answered.“ Hey Changmin, it’s Minkyong.” I replied back.“ Oh hey! What’s up?”“ I just wanted to say sorry for leaving earlier yesterday unexpectedly. I had somewhereto go.” I apologized.“ Oh no…it’s fine. It wasn’t your fault.”“ Yea, what was it that you wanted to meet me about?” I asked, looking out the window.Changmin paused for a second.“ Um…that’s…I just wanted to talk, you know. Catch up.” He replied.I smiled. “ I see. You wanna meet again? This time, without any interruptions?”I heard Changmin’s laugh over the line. “ Sure. I’ll come pick you up if you want.”“ That sounds great.” I smiled. After giving directions, I quickly went to get ready. After ten minutes, I heard the doorbell ring. Rushing down the stairs, I unlocked the frontdoor and saw Changmin standing in front of me. He smiled.“ Hey, do you want to come in for a little?” I invited him in. I saw him hesitate as helooked into the living room.“ Is anyone home?” he asked, looking up the stairs.“ No, my mom left just a little while ago.” I replied. I watched him look around. Ilaughed. “ It’s fine, come on in.” I said, pulling him in by the arm. Leading him over tothe kitchen, I sat him down at the table. I walked over to the pantry to get some snacks.“ I like your house. Very nicely decorated.” He complimented.“ Thanks…it took forever to finish. My mom went crazy over the whole decorating thing.Kind of looks like she overdid it, huh?” I placed the cookies I made with my mom the previous day on the table in front of Changmin.“ Thank you.” He took one and began to munch on it. “ Sorry about yesterday. I didn’tknow Haein was going to be there.” He added.I smiled. “ It’s fine, it’s not your fault.”As we began to talk, I heard the front door open. I froze in my seat as I heard the soundof the door opening. The scratching of the key in the keyhole made me jump.Looking into the hallway, I tried to see who was coming in. I looked over at Changmin’sshocked face.“ It’s fine, I’ll go see who it is.” I said, standing up.But there was no need, the front door opened and my mom and dad stepped into thehouse.“ AHH!” I shrieked in shock. Unexpectedly, I backed away and tripped over the chair  behind me. I hit the ground with a thump. “ Ow..”“ Honey!” My mom looked curiously at me.

Changmin ran over to me, helping me up off the ground. He steadied me back on theground. “ You okay?” He asked.I nodded.“ What are you doing?” My dad asked with a soft chuckle. Looked up at Changmin, hisexpression changed.I looked back at Changmin. He had a confused expression on his face. He bowed towardsmy parents. I smiled at his hesitant actions.“ Hello. My name is Changmin.” He said formally.“ Hello. I assume this is your friend then?” My dad asked me.I nodded and scratched my head.“ I thought you were going over to Heejin’s.” My mom said, looking over at me.I smiled hesitantly over at my mom.“ I was planning to, but I decided to invite Changmin over instead.” I replied. My mom nodded.“ Why are you back so early? It’s only been like thirty minutes.” I asked, looking over atthe clock above our kitchen counter. “ Did you meet Dad along the way?”“ Oh yea, I met him on the way to the company. Your dad said the meeting’s beencanceled, so we just decided to just come back now.” She replied.I nodded. “ I see.”There was an awkward silence.“ Wait.” My dad said abruptly.I looked up at my dad’s curious face.“ Isn’t this…that one…singer dude?” he asked, pointing over at Changmin.“ Huh?” I looked over at Changmin’s blank face.“ That one group that’s always on the TV…” my dad added.“ Oh…um…” Changmin hesitated.Changmin’s cell phone vibrated in his pocket.“ Excuse me, sorry.” He bowed to my parents and excused himself from the room.I watched him leave.“ Could we go have some lunch or something?” I asked, hopefully.“ Go on…but tonight, come back for dinner.” My mom replied.I nodded, gratefully. Embarrassed, I ran out of the house after Changmin. Running downthe walkway, I rushed down the driveway in my heels. I looked around frantically for Changmin, but accidentally tripped over a sharp edge rock.“ AHH!” I landed on my knees. “ Ugh, not again.”“ Minkyongah!” I saw Changmin running over towards me. “ You tripped again?”I groaned as he helped me up again.“ Are you okay?” he asked, watching me straighten up.” Yea.” I looked up at him and laughed. “ Sorry about that, I was just surprised to see my parents. I also told them I was meeting Heejin…so it kind of looks like I was lying tothem…” I explained.“ No, it’s fine.” He replied with a smile. “ How about lunch?” He suggested.
