March 17, 2014

Dear Alumni and Friends: Greetings! Once again, it is our pleasure to invite you to our Annual Weekend scheduled for April 12, 2014. Every year, the Executive and the Committees work untiringly on planning and coordinating the weekend; and we cannot tell you how much we appreciate your support. In addition to sharing with you information on the activities planned, we appeal to you to make a special effort to attend the programs and invite or encourage other alumni to attend. If you cannot attend, maybe you could buy a ticket for a senior who would love to attend on Saturday night. Our 2014 theme--Motivated by a Purpose, Propelled by a Mission expresses our desire to rekindle the fire of enthusiasm ignited 47 years ago when this Association was formed; and refocus on our raison dtre. Over the years, we've been blessed to hold our annual Alumni Day Worship Service in several beautiful church sanctuaries in the area. This year, for the first time, we will worship in the morning at Takoma Park SDA Church, a name recognized throughout global Adventism for the special place its city holds in denominational history. We are pleased also to inform you that an Alumni Day Choir is being assembled for this occasion. Participation in this Choir is limited to those who rehearse; and rehearsals will be held at 7:30 PM on April 5 and 11 at Takoma Park SDA Church. The schedule of events for this years celebration is as follows: 9:15 AMSabbath School 11:30 AMDivine Service; Speaker: Dr. Lael O. Caesar 1:00 PMLuncheon at the Church Center 8:15 PMSail at Sunset: exotic ports of call, on-board live entertainment, Captains Dinner and gift shop; leaving from dock at 6810 Eastern Avenue, N.W., Washington, DC (enter on Carroll Street, N.W.) Additional details on the accompanying flyer. Working together, we can accomplish much for Alma Mater; and we are counting on your continued support. We thank you kindly; and look forward to seeing you soon! Sincerely,

Princess E. Trotman President
