country that is Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad. PTC iscommitted to providing consumers with pleasure throughexcellent products, and todemonstrating that we are meeting our commercial goals inways that are consistent with reasonable societal expectationsof a responsible tobacco group in the 21st century.Ever since it arrived in Europe since the late 15th century, tobacco has divided opinion, sparked controversy, andgenerated substantial revenue through tax. Not long after itreached Europe, it was being described in terms ranging from"vile custom of manifold abuses" and "feast for the fiend" to"the divine herb" and "cornucopia of all earthly pleasure".Tobacco has periodically been subject to royal disapprovals, the whims of fashionable use, medicinal studies, smuggling, trade disputes, and bans.In this section we offer a brief snapshot of the long andfascinating history of this enduring product, smoked byroughly one billion adult consumers around the world today.
