General notes for all productions:! !

The blogs are very under-developed and most lack sufcient evidence to justify levels 3 or 4 for RPP and Evaluation. I have been very please with your production work and most of the nished productions will meet level 4 criteria - BUT - remember your individual mark is based on your contribution and is evidenced through the blog and through what I have observed. If you have contributed to the production BUT not evidenced this clearly then I will not know and your mark will reect this.! ! I have seen several of you taking the chance to use C1 to work extensively on edits and to improve them signicantly. This is reected in the levels and marks. However, there are many of you who I have not seen between Thursday lessons except when required and this is an indicator of your involvement.! ! There is time to change the marks and levels below and it is my expectation that you will do. I will allow you time to do this and will support your doing the very best you can BUT there has to be a cut off point. A number of you have NOT uploaded your Prelim Task or not labelled it clearly or evaluated it or both. If this stays the same you WILL LOSE 15 MARKS.! ! Deadlines:! Preliminary Production - Melina, Sahar (no Andi?) - all of you need to makes sure that you have explained clearly what you have learned from the process.!

Research - some minimal evidence of research from some of you - not all and it is not well organised, there needs to be care taken in presentation. I see little evidence of research into opening sequences of vampire lms, conventions of opening sequences, how narrative structures work in openings or how characters are introduced. Foley, lighting, blood recipe should all be on pre-production page. Andi - I don't see anything tagged by you here? Sahar also minimal from you - Melina level 2-, Andi and Sahar level 1!

Pre-production - lots of good work especially on forms and production details and casting, missing is the script (I couldn't see it). Organisation is poor, please use galleries for images and possibly edit your casting videos together with a commentary. potential for level 3 but current 2+!

Research - quite extensive and a range of different approaches to research including written, video and voice-over, all in group participating to greater or lesser extent - VO FOR LIGHTING RESEARCH IS NOT YOUR OWN - THIS MUST BE CHANGED - all of you have contributed successfully and there is evidence of level 3. Planning - some planning, mostly creative development by Lara which is often of a good standard if uninterestingly presented - Lara 3+, Danika 2-, Michelle 2-, Muna 1 NO EVIDENCE OF SHOOTING SCHEDULE, CALL SHEETS, CONTRACTS, CASTING DECISIONS, LOCATION PLANS/MAPS ETC.!

Production - only evidence is rst edit, no evidence of behind the scenes, production diary, second or third edits, feedback from audience, how feedback has been used to develop edits etc.! Marketing - only evidence is your survey - but no results or feedback?! Evaluation - well done, some good work here - question 1 could be further improved with clearer evidence from your opening and direct comparisons with existing lms to help make your points clearer - all involved which is brilliant. Question 1 again all involved BUT editing is very jumpy and you

haven't illustrated your points clearly enough from your opening or compared with existing texts.!

The pitch is excellent and shows air and a solid grasp of what you intend to do BUT because there is NO evidence of research into existing texts the level is low. Vampx Productions! Preliminary Task - not clear who was involved with each Prelim exercise (the one which practices match on action and 180 degree rule) if you haven't uploaded it you may lose 15 marks. Anna - did you work with Melina and Lara?! Bintu were you with Muna, Mayleen and Nimo! Zhane - not sure which one you were involved with?! All will need to be evaluated and explanations made clear regarding what has been learned.!

Research - very imbalanced currently, the majority of the research is by bintu and some of this is really pre-production work, Anna you have added some photos of exterior locations, Zhane there is nothing here at all. Overall, there is not enough research into the the genre, conventions of an opening sequence, narrative. You all need to sort this out. Bintu 2+, Anna 1, Zhane 1.!

Pre-production - the only thing here is a very basic lming schedule (though some of your planning items currently in research could move across - script, storyboard etc.) No full schedule or call sheets, no planning with regard to the problems of securing a car, casting changes due to ability to get a male actor etc. etc. Nothing from Anna and Zhane. Bintu 3(if including the items from research), Anna and Zhane 1!
