11.0 INTRODUCTIONMalaysia Institute for Research in Youth Development estimates that there will be 11.65 million youth inMalaysia which consists of 40.2% of the Malaysian population by the year 2010. Youth from IKBN(Institut Kemahiran Belia Negara), ILP (Institut Latihan Perindustrian) and Giat MARA are found to havemore than 40% interest in pursuing a career in entrepreneurship (Bukryman, 2008). From previousstatistics, information availability should be determined as entrepreneurship is a wide interest amongMalaysian youth. This research defines “Malaysian youths” as those between the ages of 20-29. Thispreliminary research is to provide an insight into information availability needed by Malaysian youths toventure into startups or pursue entrepreneurship as a career.2.0 OBJECTIVE1.
