International Day for the Right to the Truth
Dear friends,Today, March 24, ICTJ marks the International Day for the Right to the Truth. Each year on this day, werecall that victims of gross violations of human rights have a right to know the truth about the abuses theyhave endured, and celebrate the efforts of societies around the world who strive to uncover this truth. In anticipation of March 24, ICTJ asked youth activists in six countries about their views on thesignificance of truth-seeking to them and their countries.This year, I invite you to hear the personal stories of six remarkable young people who explain why truthabout the past matters to them:
