WRIT 1133 HOW TO TURN IN YOUR WORK

You'll turn in all of your work via Google Drive. If you dont already have a Google Account (e.g., Gmail), then create one at http://www.google.com/accounts.

Creating docs
To create a document, go to Google Drive (drive.google.com), click the Create button in the upper-left corner, and select Document.

Formatting docs
Unless instructed otherwise, format your writing in MLA style. Among other things, this means that you should use parenthetical in-text source citations and you should include a Works Cited page. You can find more about MLA style at the Online Writing Lab: owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/resource/747 /01/ To see how your first page should look, click on the Formatting your work tab.

Naming docs
Give your document the correct filename (in the box next to the Google Docs logo, upper left): WRIT 1133 your name Essay #. For example, if a student named Janet Jones were posting a draft of Essay 3, then the filename should be WRIT 1133 - Janet Jones Assignment 3.

Sharing docs
From within the document, click the Share button. The Sharing settings pop-up will appear. In the Invite people box, enter my DU email address: John.Tiedemann@du.edu Click Share and save. Check that youve successfully shared the doc by looking at the Who has access list in the Sharing settings window. Ill show up as the Gmail account associated with my DU address: tiedemann.john.s@gmail.com.

IMPORTANT!!! To receive credit for an assignment, you must name it correctly, format it correctly, and share it with me by the due date/time specified. Sharing your work is your responsibility: I receive entirely too many documents to keep track of your work for you.
