Springfield Mayor Domenic Sarno and a group of city voters who joined the case in February filed a brief with the court this week asking it to uphold Attorney General Martha Coakley's assertion that the ballot question shouldn't be allowed to proceed as its passage would equate to an illegal seizure of private property from casino companies and their partners.
