The mobile phone industry has been experiencing a recent shift in ratio of pay-monthly to pay-as-you-go customers. Customers generally are becoming moredemanding and the industry’s products and services are becoming more difficult todifferentiate. With recent technological developments, mobile phone serviceoperators have to keep up with the new needs of their customers.The entry of new mobile phone operators has made the competition in this market tobe more intense than ever. Customers are losing their loyalty to their former networkproviders as they are lured by the seemingly better offers of other competitors.Churn rate is increasing, and companies have to design products and packages toreduce the rate at which their customers are defaulting to other networks.To address this problem, a loyalty program called T-premium has been put forwardto help T-mobile retain its customers and to also help acquire customers who areincreasingly looking for mobile networks that are able to give them the service thatwill meet up with their new mobile phone demands.
