    DISASTER RECOVERY PROPOSAL TSF Oratech Systems proposes the use of Oracle Real Application Cluster technology to implement

    database virtualization. This has the advantage of providing fail over both at node and storage level in the event of any critical hardware failure. We will use Oracle RMAN utilities to back up the live database daily at a specific time (during the night), This backup will be scheduled and automated. After the backup is completed the backup files will be shipped to the DR site automatically. The shipped backup files can be used to update the standby database at the DR site.The database at the DR site can be started and be used for reporting during the day ,especially for those reports which are resource hungry. In addition this database can take over as primary database in the event the live database fails to function. The use of this technology will enable recovery to the point of failure and TSF will be assured of zero data loss in the event of system failure.
