How to increase energy in body, mind and spirit
When we are self-aware and exercise a certaindegree of consciousness in our daily routine, wetune-in and tune-up, raising the vibration patternsthat flow through us at every level of body, mindand spirit promoting health and happiness in ourlives. But some of us may wonder about specifictechniques one can do to help to raise vibrationpatterns in an effort to increase energy, promotehealing and attract abundance to us?The first step is to become aware of what might be depleting your own energy and throwingyou off balance in your life. Perhaps you are physically healthy, grounded and balanced athome, but the stress at work might throw you off balance and
‘undo’ all the hard work you
putin to maintain a healthy and happy life. Or it might be a relationship you have with a co-worker, friend or family member that leaves you feeling drained. When you realize thedamaging effects of our actions our habits, routines and relationships, then we can find a betterway to deal with these situations so that they don
’t deplete us
on an ongoing daily basis.The next step is to practice specific techniques to remove old energy, maintain a positivebalance of energy and increase energy within body, mind and spirit. Here is a list of some of those techniques:
 
Get plenty of fresh air and sunshine. Spend time in nature.
 
Get plenty of rest and drink plenty of water.
 
Paying attention to the foods you eat is another way to raise your energy. Heavy foodslike red meat slow your vibration patterns down as they take much energy to digestwhereas vegetables, foods high in vitamin C and leafy greens raise your vibrationpatterns up. Avoid salt and processed foods containing a lot of sodium as that causes achemical reaction in the body, can affect our moods and deplete us of energy. Avoid too
 
much sugar and caffeine, as each of these will give us a quick high, leading to aninevitable crash.
 
Exercise is good as it increases the amount of oxygen in the blood and the flow of energy in and out of one
’s body.
 
Grounding techniques remove the slow-moving vibrations of old, stale or negativeenergy that gets caught up in our bodiesand slows us down and throws us off balance over time.
 
Play! Recreation and games are not justfor kids. Studies with Dr. Stuart Brown  show that laughter and play activitiesrejuvenate body, mind and spirit.
 
Meditating is another way to sustainhealth and wellness and promotehealing within our bodies.Here is an energizing meditation that brings up the energy from the earth and the energy fromthe heavens into oneself simultaneously, invigorating, replenishing and rejuvenating body,mind and spirit.
Tree of Life Meditation
 
Sit in a cross-legged comfortable position on the floor or in nature. Seated in a chair isgood too, feet flat on the floor. Please do not cross your ankles, hands or legs as thatconstricts the flow of energy.
 
Wear comfortable clothing so you can breathe easy. Turn off the phone and be in aspace where you can sustain this relaxed state of mind for 20 minutes or however longyou wish.
 
As you sit, connect to your breath. Be aware that the air is what fills the space betweenall things and connects us all as ONE.
 
Scan your body, releasing any tension on the exhale of your breath. Let your mind go.Floating away at sea, off into space or drift away upon a cloud...
 
Then, aware of your body and the earth below you imagine roots descending down intothe earth from your spine, down your legs and deep into the earth's core.
 
Drink from the earth like an old oak tree drinks water and life through its roots.
 
Visualize the energy coming up through the roots into your body, filling you with lightthat collects at your solar plexus chakra.
