Thank you to our magnicentparents who signed up to vol-
unteer. We made a new record
with not only the numbers of parents, but with volunteers forseveral different activities as wellas support to our classroomteachers. We are indebted toyou. Your time spent volunteer-ing = $$$ saved for the school.Thank you to all our familiesand friends for your pledges, do-nations and participation in ourfund raisers. Your continued sup-port is truly appreciated. I wouldlike to also put in a personalplea for your support of our 5thgrade science camp fund raisers.We want to make this an annual
event that all 5th graders can look 
forward to enjoying. So althoughyour child might not be currentlyin the 5th grade, your participa-tion right now will help ensurethat it becomes a tradition thatyour child will enjoy later.Congratulations to DeniseSample, our newly electedGovernance Council member!Thank you to Sandy Diep andLeah Kelly for volunteering forthis seat and we look forwardto continuing to work with youand our other parents on oursub-committees.The Orientation and Electionsfor our School Site and EnglishLanguage Advisory Councils willtake place on October 26th andNovember 2nd respectively. and our Asbestos Abatement

A great way to make money for our school is to sign up for our fund raising programs. These are cashback programs at certain merchants (Vons, Ralphs, Target, Ofce Depot and more), where they donate aportion of your purchases to our school.
