Captions Anchorage Black, red and white colour scheme. Small titles generally at the bottom of the poster Release date Low lighting to disguise character (make them stand out more) Use of one large image to catch audience attention-optical focus If the image isnt large, it is a long shot of a main location which adds suspense to the film.

Conventions of film magazine- Horror

Emphasis on main character, usually a mid-shot/close-up Rule of thirds Primal optical area- where the magazine title starts Terminal areas-less important information goes Guttenberg diagram (when the elements are evenly distributed and homogeneous or the design contains heavy use of text) Cover-lines Framing of the main character Always portrays the3 good guy in a positive way and the bad guy in a negative dark light which shows the different personalities of each character good or bad.
