91 Year Old Opera Diva Legend, Ms. Hope Foye, received the "Woman of the Century" Award of Excellence at the March 22nd "WOMEN DOWN THROUGH THE CENTURIES Project Program. Dr. Marcia Ann Mims Coppertino; right; is seen congratulating Ms. Foye!
Celebrities and guests from across the State of California joined Mercy Mission Bear Hospital and Adoption Agency friends to see and hear from Ms. Hope Foye, Opera Legend who was denied an opportunity to sing with THE NEW YORK METROPOLITAN OPERA organization over 60 years ago because their talent scout discovered that she was a black woman. Ms. Foye was greeted with hugs and kisses and sung acappela before a filled to capacity room. Ms. Foye proved that one is never to old to continue to inspire others!
