Yilomka, it took several centuries to prove that Bible was an actual history of the Jews and it wasn't until the late 1700's that people began to investigate archaeologically the claims of the Bible that it was the history of the Jews and historians and archaeologists are still looking for proof of certain events in the Bible. There is plenty of evidence of the Book of Mormon. It's just whether you can accept it as proof or not. There are a few Native American legends that talk about them coming from across the great waters from the lands of the west or from the lands of the rising sun. and these legends were recorded before Joseph Smith. Unless a poor farmer with third grade schooling could read French I don't believe he copied their idea or any other works. Do your research before you condemn someone's faith.

Well, as far as scriptures concerned there is no archeological proof of the places mentioned in the Book of Mormon. For me it's just fiction.
