I’m married, have 5 grown children and 11 grandchildren. For the last 44 years I have been a psychotherapist who specializesin helping men and the women who love them. My life goal is to helppeople live long and well. I have been writing books since my first,
Inside Out: Becoming My Own Man
, was published in 1983. When
was published in 1997, it struck a chord with peoplethroughout the world and was soon published in 25 foreignlanguages. Since then four other books have been publishedincluding
The Irritable Male Syndrome
Male vs. FemaleDepression.
Although I love writing, the world of publishing has been frustratingfor me. It’s a real hassle getting a book idea from conception tocompletion. Once I get an idea I develop an outline, then a full blownbook proposal. Next, I go over it with my agent. Once it is ready hesends letters to potential publishers. Then, I wait and hope and praythat an editor will want to sign me to a contract, give me an advance, and agree to publish the book when I’ve finished writing it.
