Call for Workshop Scholarships

The RLC Campus at ZEF in Bonn offers scholarships for PhD students from developing and transition countries to participate in the international workshop on Environmental Change and the Next Sustainability Generation, August 31 to September 7, 2013, in Bonn, Germany. Background The Right Livelihood College (RLC) is the global capacity building initiative of the Right Livelihood Award, also known as the "Alternative Nobel Prize" (www.rightlivelihood.org). The RLC Campus in Bonn is hosted by the Center for Development Research (ZEF), University of Bonn, and supported by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). It promotes cooperation and exchange between Alternative Nobel Prize winners, scientists and PhD students in fields of environmental sustainability, poverty alleviation, and social justice in the Global South (www.rlc-bonn.de). Environmental Change and the Next Sustainability Generation The workshop will take place from August 31 to September 7, 2013, at ZEF and other venues in Bonn. Several winners of the Alternative Nobel Prize and the German Environmental Award will be participating together with scientists, policy makers and PhD students from all over the world. The goals are to advance expertise of the magnitude and consequences of environmental change, identify successful sustainability approaches, and to train the next generation of scholars in applied problem-solving.
