Most renowned alcoholic beverage of Mexico, Tequila is theexpression of both precolombine and Spanish cultures. Withthe arrival of Spanish colons along with alambic technology,Mexican people began to distillate Agave, which wastraditionally used for the elaboration of Pulque, afermented indigenous beverage.The alcohol named Tequila is obtained exclusively form theAgave Tequilana Weber var. Azul.Production and commercialization are protected by a MexicanOfficial Law (NOM). Every lot is checked and certified bythe Regulation Council of Tequilas (CRT). The Tequilastandards are guaranteed by a “
 protected designation of origin
”, since 1974.
