Ever Dear amd Beloved Children hoping these may find you well with the most Painfull sensations of Parental afection I write the havy and and may God pre Pare your harts for the [aputing?] [molenedi?] tidings of the Deth of your youngest Sister alass Sarah is not But is numbred with the Grate Congregation of the Ded the surcumstances of her deth ware very singler the first of july as she was going along near the barn tript against a stone fell her knee against another mid maid a small wound near the bigness of a them nail apered very Lame expecting some bone out of place aplied to the surgon found none out or broke but brused dressd it and gave Directions the surgun came a number of times at length Complained of pain in her back and stomuck with cramp the Doct came and found she had a fevour gave fisick oprating well we had some hopes but the cramp continuing [the] doct chose a Councel five ware acembled Mr Swift But all men ware in afect Mr Swift wen to Prayer and in a few minits she died July 25 the day of her Berth and the Day of Deth 11 Years old thus ended the Days of your Dear sister on wensday the funaral was atended Mr Swift Preched a sarmon from Jobe 1 21 and Jobe said naked Came I out of my mothers womb and naked shall I returne thither the Lord gave and the Lord hath taken away and Blessed Be the Name of the Lord a Larg number of people atended tho very wet the Docters all agree that the whole procedes from the wound or Lock Jaw it afected the main Narve that leads to the seat of Life thus Life how fickle and unsartain which apeared for a little while and then vanishes away o then Let us all Consider our later end and by timely Repentance flee to Jesus Christ that we may Be saved from the [Saim?] Second Deth through Jesus Christ [Grace?] has been in a wek and feble way Ever since the Deth of her sister but no Settled fevour the rest are about John & Joseph & famaly are well as yousal and send their Love to you give our Regards to Brother Peck & famaly and all in Quiring frends August 24 1803 we should be glad if you would come
