Introduction
The most important area in which the development needs to becontinuously accelerated is agriculture, which is the backbone of country’s economy. In order to bring about changes in theknowledge, skill and attitude of the people engaged in farming, asustained effort is necessary and thus could be achieved onlythrough purposeful education.Rural Agricultural Work Experience (RAWE) Programme is a keycomponent in the B.Sc.(Ag.) degree programme. The students aregiven rigorous orientation and familiarization on various issues and problems they can expect in the farmers field. This programmeruns for 60 working days (9-6-2006 to 8-8-2006) in thesemester(VIIth) where in all the teachers in different disciplines areinvolved for improving the learning capacity of the students in atypical village situation.
Overall Schedule:
On, 9-6-2006 we had Registration and Orientation.10-06-2006: Orientation11-06-2006 to 6-8-2006: RAWE stay.7-8-2006: Arranging RAWE exhibition at the college.8-8-2006: RAWE Workshop interaction and Evaluation.
