Chapter One GENERAL INFORMATION 1.1 Expectations.
Cadets will be familiar with the contents of this SOI immediately upon arrival at encampment. You are required to bring/have this SOI book with you to encampment in good condition.
1.2 Introduction.
By nature, the CAP encampment provides a rigorous training exercise. The training challenges the cadet physically and mentally, while emphasizing teamwork. Completing encampment will prove to be the single most important challenge that the cadet must complete before attaining the coveted General Billy Mitchell Award. This award entitles the cadet to officer status in CAP. Credit for successful completion of a CAP encampment must be earned. No credit will be automatically given simply because of attendance.
1.3 Transportation.
Transportation to and from the encampment site is ultimately your responsibility. Cadets
driving their own POV’s must turn
-in car keys upon check-in and will be returned during outprocessing.
1.4 Reporting.
Cadets will report on time and ready per their transportation orders. The travel uniform shall be
BDU’s or Blues to the Warrior Center for in
-processing and
BDU’s or Blues from Warrior Center for out
-processing. All
