the election of the members of the Board
of Education of this District and the vote
upon the appropriation of the necessary
funds to meet the estimated expendi-

Each petition shall be directed to
the Clerk of the School District shall be
signed by at least fifty-five (55) qualified
voters of the District, shall state the resi-
dence of each signer and the name and
residence of the candidate.
NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER
GIVEN, that pursuant to Section 352
of the Election Law, any person, other-
wise qualified to vote, who is currently
registered to vote in an election district
for the County of Suffolk or part thereof
whose boundaries lie within this school
district, will be entitled to vote without
further registration.
Unless a person is entitled to vote by
virtue of such registration in an election
district or part thereof whose boundar-
ies lie within this School District, pur-
suant to Section 2014 of the Education
Law, personal registration of voters is re-
quired, and no person shall be entitled to
vote at the meeting of the District whose
name does not appear on the register of
the District.
Registration of the qualified voters
of the District shall take place at the
Office of the District Clerk, 700 Osborn
Avenue, Riverhead, New York, between
the hours of 8:15 oclock A.M. and 4:00
oclock P.M. (Prevailing Time), Monday
through Friday, up to and including May
6, 2014 (except April 18, 2014), at which
time any person shall be entitled to have
his/her name placed upon such register,
provided that he/she is known or proven
to be then or thereafter entitled to vote
at said Special District Meeting for
which such register is prepared.
The register so prepared shall also
include all persons who shall have pre-
sented themselves personally for regis-
tration in accordance herewith, and all
persons who shall have been previously
registered hereunder for any annual or
special meeting or election, and who
shall have voted at any annual or special
meeting or any election held or conduct-
ed at any time within four calendar years
prior to the preparation of the register.
The register of the School District
shall be filed in the Office of the District
Clerk, located at 700 Osborn Avenue,
Riverhead, New York, in said School
District, and such register will be open
for inspection by any qualified voter of
said District between the hours of 8:15
oclock A.M. and 4:00 oclock P.M. (Pre-
vailing Time) on each of the five days
prior to and the date set for said District
election, except on Saturday when it will
be available for inspection by advance
appointment only and except on Sunday.
NOTICE IS ALSO GIVEN that the
Board of Registration shall meet during
the hours of voting on May 20, 2014 for
the purpose of preparing a register for
meetings or elections held subsequent
to such election, and any person shall
have his name placed on said register
who presents himself personally to said
Board and is qualified as a school district
elector.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN,
that the following propositions will ap-
pear on the May 20, 2014 ballot:
Shall the following resolutions be ad-
opted, to-wit:
PROPOSITION II
(a) Shall the Board of Educa-
tion of the Riverhead Central School
District, be authorized to purchase
various school buses for use by the Dis-
trict, and to expend therefor, including
preliminary costs and costs incidental
thereto and to the financing thereof, an
amount not to exceed the estimated to-
tal cost of $3,988,000;
(b) that a tax is hereby voted in
the aggregate amount of not to exceed
$3,988,000 to pay such cost, said tax to
be levied and collected in installments in
such years and in such amounts as shall
be determined by said Board of Educa-
tion; and
(c) that in anticipation of said
tax, bonds of the District are hereby
authorized to be issued in the principal
amount of not to exceed $3,988,000 and
a tax is hereby voted to pay the interest
on said bonds as the same shall become
due and payable.
PROPOSITION III
Shall the Board of Education be
authorized to grant a water service ease-
ment over the lands of the certain real
property located in the Town of South-
ampton comprised of approximately
1,732 square feet or .04 acres, and des-
ignated on the Tax Map of the County
of Suffolk as part of 0900-140.00-02.00-
022.000 and 0900-141.00-01.00-011.001
and as more fully described in a legal
description on file in the Office of the
District Clerk, to L.I. Head Start Devel-
opment Services, Inc., which easement
shall be granted on substantially the
terms and conditions set forth in a con-
tract of sale on file in the Office of the
District Clerk.
NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER
GIVEN, that the aforesaid propositions
may appear on the ballot labels of the
voting machines used at such Annual
District Meeting on May 20, 2014.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN
that applications for absentee ballots
may be applied for at the Office of the
District Clerk, located at 700 Osborn
Avenue, Riverhead, New York, be-
tween the hours of 8:15 oclock A.M.
and 4:00 oclock P.M. (Prevailing Time)
on any school day. If the ballot is to
be mailed to the voter, the completed
application must be received by the
District Clerk no later than May 13,
2014. If the ballot is to be delivered
personally to the voter at the Office of
the District Clerk, the completed ap-
plication must be received by the Dis-
trict Clerk no later than Monday May
19, 2014. All absentee ballots must
be received by the District Clerk no
later than 5:00 oclock P.M. (Prevailing
Time) on May 20, 2014.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN
that a list of all persons to whom absen-
tee ballots shall have been issued will
be available at the Office of the District
Clerk between the hours of 8:15 oclock
A.M. and 4:00 oclock P.M. (Prevailing
Time) on each of the five (5) days prior
to the day set for the Special District
Meeting, except Saturday and Sunday.
