Coloring with Mineral SpiritsBy MichelleCherished Hearts
Materials Needed:Waterproof Color PencilsBlending StumpsStamped Line Art Image on White Cardstock (Stamped inMemento Black Ink)Emery Board

Step 1: Chose a color to start with and a section of the image tocolor with. It’s best to do all the lighter areas first but for thistutorial the darker colors showed up better. Using your colorpencil, add the color to the edges of the section and to areaswhere you want the most shading.Step 2: Dip your blending stump into some mineral spiritsavailable at your local craft or art store. I used some odorlessspirits from Gina K.

Step 3: In a circle motion starting at where the color isblend the color into the areas that are white until youhave the desired look. I added more color to areas that Iwanted darker. The points tend to wear down, so useyour emery board in a upward motion to sharpen yourblending stump.
