Person Specification: Subject Leader for PE

E: Essential Qualifications: Bachelor (E) or Masters Degree (D) in PE (D) QTS (Secondary) (E) Holder of full, clean driving Licence (E) + (D1, mini bus driver) D: Desirable

Experience: You will have experience of raising girls achievement in PE (D) You will be able to demonstrate success as a teacher at KS4, KS3 (E) and KS5 (D) Working in a state comprehensive school (E) You will have evidence of your own Continuing Professional Development (E) Experience of leading and teaching netball (D)

Knowledge and Understanding: Excellent subject knowledge (E) How effective assessment is used to promote students learning (E) Understanding of the leadership and management role of a Subject Leader (E) An excellent knowledge and understanding of all recent developments in physical education, such as new specifications, particularly the National Curriculum at KS3, GCSE and other appropriate qualifications at KS4 (E) and KS5 for AS and A2 level.
