[Opening credits finish.][Camera cuts to an exterior shot of a small town house. It is a warm sunny dayoutside, a light breeze is blowing.] "Springwood, OhioMarch 17th, 1972" [Camera cuts to the inside of the house. 'Light My Fire' by The Doors([url]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=flOvM4Z355A[/url]) It is unorganized, andappears to be your stereotypical bachelor's pad. The TV is on, and the morningnews flashes on the screen. There is a man sitting at the dining room table. He ismiddle aged, but good looking. His hair line is receding, but his hair is combedover to hide the fact. This is Freddy Krueger. There is a cup of coffee in frontof him, and a bar napkin on the table, from a few nights before. The napkin says "Linda419-555-9167" [Freddy takes a deep breath.] FREDDY (Mumbling to himself): Always wait three days.. Thats the rule. [He picks up the phone and dials the number. You cannot hear exactly what Linda issaying, but Freddy's responses keep you in the loop.] FREDDY: Hi! Is this Linda? FREDDY: This is Fred, we met at the Red Rabbit a few nights ago. FREDDY: [Laughs] Y-yeah, thats me. How've you been? FREDDY: Oh I've been hangin' in there. Do you have any plans for dinner tonight? FREDDY: Oh okay that sounds great! I'll pick you up at about seven? FREDDY: Haha alright, see you then, bye Linda. [Freddy hangs up. The expression on his face goes from the fake excitement, to agrimace. He throws the plate away with toast crumbs on it, grabs a large duffelbag, and heads out the door. As the front door slams, the camera cuts to theexterior of a daycare center. There are numerous cars outside, and the front ofthe school is littered with parents dropping their young children off at the frontdoor. You can hear numerous 'Have a good day!'s, 'Be a good little boy.'s etc. Thecamera pans through the front hallway of the daycare center. A backdoor opens, andFreddy walks through it. He puts on a smile and warmly greets some of the smallchildren who run up to him. He walks on through the hallway, the duffel bag stillin his hand, opens a small door, slides in, and slams it shut.] [Camera cuts to exterior of the daycare. A father is embracing his young childoutside of the family station wagon.] JOHN: Have a good day okay Nancy? I'll be here to pick you up later. YOUNG NANCY: Okay. I love you. JOHN: I love you too hunny. Bye! [Young Nancy runs to the front door, and the dad pulls off in his station wagon.

The camera moves off to the side yard of the daycare, where Freddy is now dressedin work pants and a dirty red/green sweater (The sleeves are pushed up to hiselbows), and is working in the small garden. A small group of children run over tohim and stand right outside the garden, a few feet from Freddy] YOUNG GIRL: Mr. Freddy.. Will you play hide and seek with us? FREDDY: Sure kids, but only for a few minutes.. Old Freddy's got some yard work toget done. ALL THE KIDS: You're it! [The camera follows the kids as they all run inside the building. The otherchildren at the daycare are all playing outside, and the chaperones are watchingover them, so the building is empty. As the kids all spread out throughout themain rooms, the camera follows one young boy. He cuts around the hallway, looksaround quickly, and then opens a door and slides in. This is the same door thatFreddy quickly slid through when he arrived at the building earlier. Freddy walksinto the building, and slowly snakes his way throughout the rooms, playfullylooking for the children. They have done a mediocre job of hiding, but Freddy actsas if he doesn't see them.] FREDDY (Walking around in the building): One.. Twoo.. Thhreeee.. Four.. Fiveee..Six.. Sevennnn.. Eight.. Nnnineeeee.. [As he walks through the hallway, something catches his eye. The child who slippedinto the door before, didn't completely close it. The door has slowly moved ajar, revealing that the child has entered THE BOILER ROOM. Freddy slowly slides intothe room, and shuts the door behind him. An evil grin crawls across his face.] FREDDY: Ready or not.. Here I come.. [Camera cuts to the child running through the narrow metal walkways, you can hearhis footsteps as they echo in the large room, his heavy breathing as he runs, andthe humming of large machinery. Camera cuts to various shots of him running in theroom. He's getting himself more and more lost, the farther he runs. He starts toslightly whimper as he realizes this. Camera cuts to Freddy as he walks down thesteps to a small, unorganized workbench. The duffelbag he brought in earlier islaying there. He unzips it, and pulls out an object that has been carefullywrapped in a towel. He unravels it. It is the glove. The glowing light in theboiler room glistens off the sharp razor blades has Freddy slides it onto hishand, and moves the fingers around a bit. Freddy turns around, and starts to walkfurther into the large boiler room. Camera cuts back to the little boy. He is morefrightened and disorienteted.] YOUNG BOY: Is there anyone here? Someone please help me! I'm.. I'm lost! [A few tears stream down his face.] FREDDY: [Deep, evil laugh, it echos off the walls.] YOUNG BOY: H-hello? Whos there? Mister.. Help me get out of here! I don't knowwhere I am!! [Freddy slowly fades in from the darkness, in front of the boy. The young boy'seyes fill with terror.] FREDDY: Aaw.. You don't have nothin' to worry about..
