), theDance House for Birmingham and the West Midlands, will draw on its robust history ofeducation work and the expertise of the partner organisations to deliver a project that allowsparticipants to create movement which will be captured on film. This project is funded by YouthDance England and
Birmingham City Councils Children Young People Families – ‘Up For It!’ fund inpartnership with Birmingham’s Looked After Children Education services.
 
Logistics
There will be
taster sessions in January February 2010
atDanceXchange studios and on site delivered to young people agedbetween 13-18. These tasters session will help us
find 10 keenand dedicated young people
who during the half term holidays willparticipate in a week long
intensive from Monday 15 – Friday 19
 
February 2010
at DanceXchange. We are looking to work with adance artist who has experience of Parkour/physical and streetdance for a dynamic and exciting dance experience, and a photographer who will capture theelectricity and power of the young dancers in action.As part of the intensive week we will be providing travel, food and refreshments for the dancers.We will also work with a well being therapists to teach young dancers relaxation tools. There willbe a peer to peer learning opportunity for young people (already involved with dance) or dancegraduates, who will be trained as integrated role models to encourage and support participants.
