Our Lady of Sorrows Church
From the Pastor’s Desk
My Dear People:The latest news in our Catholic Church is thatPope Benedict has signed a statementmaking it easier for Anglican priests tobecome Catholic priests; also the documentis making it easier for an entire congregationof Anglicans to come into the CatholicChurch.Because of the consecration of an activelygay bishop and the ordination of women inthe Anglican Church, many traditionalAnglicans would love to join our Catholicfaith. Pope Benedict is making it easier for them to do so even dispensing with celibacyfor the married Anglican priests. As you know, I am against extra appeals andfund raisers. The following is not a fundraiser but could benefit the Church if youalready have a debit card from CompassBank. If you have a debit card from Compass, please tell the bank that your non profitorganization is OLS Church and they willsend us 1/4 of one percent of your total useof your debit card each month. For example, if you charge $500.00 a monthon your debit card, after 12 months thatequals $6,000.00. This amount times 0.25%(1/4 of one percent) is $15.00. If there are100 people from OLS to do this, then thechurch would receive $1,500.00.All it takes is to tell Compass Bank that your non-profit organization is OLS church. If you open a new account with Compassyour non profit organization will receive$20.00. This is not another appeal, only arequest that if you have a Compass debitcard, please make one phone call 297-7571.From my vantage point, every dollar counts. So if you have a debit card from Compass, please call the above number. With prayers and blessings,Fr. Muller

How do you enflesh the great commandment of love?Be aware of how others show this vitalcommandment. Encourage those who you respect todedicate their lives to ministry in the Church. (Matthew22:34-40). For catechists and parents, may they instillthe commandment of love as they help our youth growin Christian faith.
