Video Project – World History Pre-AP - Mr. DuezVideo RubricStudent Name___________________________________________ PD:
Each aspect of the video is graded on a scale. The highest score in the rangemeans that the student was complete and had a total command over the areagraded. Zero means that the aspect was missing or completely wrong. Totals inbetween denote amount of success in the category. Sixty points of the project isthe video (30) and presentation (30). The essay is worth forty points.
Heading and Title:
(Each group member’s name, the date, period, and class (World History Pre-AP Duez) will be in the heading. There is a title that displays the videoname.)

(The video should not be all about showing pictures and presenting music. Teach the class. Use your thesis in the video. There are at least 5 portions of the video that have text showing information. Each of those should besourced at the end of the presentation in the works cited portion. Use MLAformat – so place the author or website name in parenthesis.)

Using Youtube video in your project:
If you would like to download Youtube video and insert it into MovieMaker or Animoto(Photostory does not work with video, only pictures and music) you can do so in multipleways:Check Mr. Duez’s blog for more information on eachof these.
 You Tube Downloader:
 This is a really nice program that you can downloadto your computer. Then you can enter the URL of thevideo on You Tube that you want to download. Onceit is downloaded in .flv (or flash video) format, youcan then convert it to .wmv which can be used inAnimoto and Movie Maker. To find it, go to Google and type in: “You TubeDownloader”Or go to this site:http://youtubedownload.altervista.org/
: You can also use KeepVid.comAt home, go to www.youtube.comand locate the video that you want. Copy the URL of that video’s locationGo towww.keepvid.comIn the blank, paste the URL of the You Tube Video.Click the download button at the end of the URL bar.A choice of formats will appear. Right-click on the one you want and select a name that youwill recognize and save it to your Desktop.
