At the age of ten, three kids, Will, Tom, and Pen, are kidnapped by two mysterious men who tells them that they are wizards. Before this, the three of them have never met before, but as they train for their new lives, they become good friends. Will is the strongest among the three, and so when the King of England finds out about them, he tells them that once the strongest pupil has finished his training, he or she is to serve his son as his protector. Will serves Prince Arthur for one year before the plague takes him and becomes good friends with Princess Catherine, Arthur's widow. But little does he know that more is at stake as he is called to fight in the Wizard's War.
