Note:
During 2007, Eudora will become an open sourceemail application and will be built upon the sameoundation as Mozilla’s Thunderbird. The interace,however, is expected to remain similar to what it is now.For example, additional email accounts in Eudora areknown as “Personalities.”
Setting Up a POP3 Email Account
1. SelectTools / Personalities. I thePersonalitieswindow appears in a tabbed window, click the tab.2. In thePersonalitieswindow, right-click to display thedrop-down menu and chooseNew. This will open theNew Account Wizard.3. UnderWould you like to,checkCreatea brand new email account and clickNext.4. In thePersonality Namewindow, give your personalitya descriptive name, such as Business, Home orwhatever you preer.5. In thePersonal Inormationwindow, enter your name oryour company name in theYour Nametext feld.6. In theEmail Addresswindow, enter your emailaddress in theEmail Addresstext feld (e.g.,
myname@mydomain.com).
7. In theUser Namewindow, enter your login name,which will be your email address, such as
myname@mydomain.com.
8. In theIncoming Mail Serverwindow, do the ollowing:• Speciy the Incoming Server as
pop.emailsrvr.com.
