Note:
During 2007, Eudora will become an open sourceemail application and will be built upon the sameoundation as Mozilla’s Thunderbird. The interace,however, is expected to remain similar to what it is now.For example, additional email accounts in Eudora areknown as “Personalities.”
Setting Up an IMAP Email Account
1. SelectTools / Personalities. I thePersonalitieswindow
appears in a tabbed window, click the tab.2. In thePersonalitieswindow, right-click to display thedrop-down menu and chooseNew. This will open theNew Account Wizard.3. UnderWould you like to,checkCreatea brand new
email account and clickNext.4. In thePersonality Namewindow, give your personalitya descriptive name, such as Business, Home orwhatever you preer.5. In thePersonal Inormationwindow, enter your name oryour company name in theYour Nametext feld.6. In theEmail Addresswindow, enter your emailaddress in theEmail Addresstext feld (e.g.,
myname@mydomain.com).
7. In theUser Namewindow, enter your login name,which will be your email address, such as
myname@mydomain.com.
8. In theIncoming Mail Serverwindow, do the ollowing:• Speciy the Incoming Server as
imap.emailsrvr.com.•

connection will be checked during setup.• ChooseIMAPas the type o server you’re using.9. In theIMAP Location Prefxwindow, enter the word

• LeaveTest serverchecked, so your connection canbe examined as part o the setup process.• Choose Allow authentication, so your user name willbe used or outgoing mail as well.10. When the Success! Window appears, the correct setupor your email account has been confrmed. Click Finishto complete the setup process.
