IntroductionWhy should you read this book?Because you need to experience college rather than just go through it.What if????You die half way through? You never graduate? The world around you changes so much that the education loses value? These are really shock value questions meant to start you thinking the way I’m thinkingas I write this book. See that for what it is and remember that you’re going to get aneducation for reasons that assume you’ll live to be very old and even if no one else ever needs you to support them i.e. the family you most likely don’t have yet. One thing will be certain; with a proper education and just the right amount of self control, at least youcan always depend on you.Are you starting to see a theme?Balance – that is what this book is written about. You are a balanced person you have a usable analytical, emotional, physical, andconscience. I know you do because you’re a human and like all humans you can bemanipulated by someone else just to prove the point. Before I spoil some psych 101 professor’s dream of being the first to introduce you toPavlov’s dog, let’s assume for now that you trust me so far. If not then you’re probably pissed off right now because you purchased some jerks book because of the long in linein the school bookstore combined with your human nature to make impulse purchaseswhile waiting in lines. You can bark now. That was your biscuit.Every semester read this intro again as well as the four sections at the end of the book. If you read cover to cover twice or more, I’m flattered, but you really did miss the point.Oh, or you’re trying to paraphrase my book and make some money the easy way (stealingit) via 6 minute abs (go see if Something About Mary is available on Pirate DVD or internet download). This intro, short as it is, happens to be too long already. I don’t know how many millionsof words you’ll read before you grab some skin. Lamb that is.Finally!!!
